My friend Alex wanted to move his custom PHP website to Wordpress. To accomplish this, I built a custom plugin that displayed "guide" pages from the old site within Wordpress. The plugin also created a way to manage those guide pages, their photos, and a separate "shield gallery" in the Wordpress backend. I also created a custom updates page, which would display the latest updates to the website automatically. The resulting HTML was cached in a custom database table so the page would load quickly.
